Project details of ch- Indus valley civilization.


Group Project 
Topic: Indus Valley Civilization
Grade: VI

Objective:
To understand the discovery, location, extent, main features, important structures, art
and craft and significance of Lothal in the Indus Valley Civilization.


Materials Required:
To be sourced by the student
1. Chart papers to make scrapbook.
2. Pictures of the Indus Valley Civilization related to the topic allotted to them.
3. Articles for decoration, glue, sketch pens and other stationery.

 Procedure:
1. Divide the class into the following groups.The students in a particular group have to make a scrapbook on the topic allotted to the group. Each student works individually on the project.
2. Groups:
Group 1: Discovery, location and extent of the Indus Valley Civilization
Group 2: Main features of the Indus Valley Civilization
Group 3: The Great bath of the Indus Valley Civilization
Group 4: The Granary of the Indus Valley Civilization
Group 5: The art and craft of the Indus Valley Civilization
Group 6: The location and significance of Lothal in the Indus Valley Civilization

 3. The students collect the materials needed and creatively present their ideas and
information in the scrapbook.

4. How to go about writing a project?
a) Cover page showing the title, name of the student, name of the school, academic year.
b) Binding of sheets may be done with a string or spiral.
c) First page will feature the contents’ page followed by ‘Introduction page’.
d) Picture cut out should be relevant to the write up.
e) Presenting the facts, information, pictures, etc in paragraphs with suitable headings.
f) Pages should be numbered.
g) Conclusion
h) Bibliography
